Lenae Smith Fund
Lenae Smith passed away last night due to an ATV accident. I am close friends with Derek her husband. Dealing with the loss of a family member, eternal wife, mother, and best friend is a difficult thing to cope with. But dealing with finances during such a horrible time should not be an added worry to Derek and his children while they mourn the loss of Lenae.
The money donated will be given directly for Derek who has worked three jobs to cover expenses for his family. The added medical costs for the helicopter, ambulance, and funeral will devastate him financially. Lets all donate what we can to help him.
Lenae was the most kindess person I have ever met, and was a privalage to call her a friend. Derek whom is one of my closest friends, and brother is also one of the most caring people I have ever met. His dedication to his family, and friends surpasses any expectations I have ever imagined.
I would be ever grateful to be able to help Derek financially with this at his time of loss. Thank you for helping out a family in need.
The funeral Lenae (Lillywhite) Smith will be held Saturday March 19th at the Bloomington Hills Stake Center, 1130 East Brigham Road
St. George, UT
A viewing will be held the Friday before from 6:00 to 8:00 at the same location and again from 9:30-10:30 on Saturday.
Words cannot simply express the heart ache, the loss, or what the future holds for you Derek and kids. You all have been there for me through some difficult times in the past year. I wish I could make a time machine, and go back to yesterday and tell you to stay home. But I can't :(. Lenae was one of the sweetest friends I have ever had. Your family didn't deserve a great loss like this, but God will pull you and the kids through this! Derek I love you like my own brother, and will do whatever is needed. Just say the word brother, and it doesn't matter what it is, I will do what it takes to ensure the future of you and your children are taken care of. God Bless you and your family.
My heart aches for your family, I love them all dearly. Weed and her siblings were like children of my own growing up at the pool. I had the pleasure of their company often and felt blessed for knowing them. You have been in my thoughts often as the years separated us. There are not earthly words to describe the sorrow and pain one feels as a mother losing a child, wife, parent, sister, so I will not pretend! I know my daughter Madison and Weed will share a joyful reunion as they reminisce about St. George and the city pool.
Words cannot express the sadness we feel for the Smith family. We have been so fortunate to have our son call one of their sons his best friend. We are grateful that we were able to get to know Lanae when our boys had play dates. We are so sorry for your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
I'm still shocked at this tragedy. What an amazing and sweet person Lenae was. I will cherish her advise and conversations we last had, forever & ever. I'm very sorry Derek and children. This is unbearable to think of what you are going through. We will continue praying for you.
I'm so sorry for your loss Derek! What a beauty she was! My heart goes out to you and your family.
