Richard Gardner's Help w/ Expenses

4/6 UPDATE!  Wow!  Thank you all!  We are past the latest goal of $2,000!  As we told you last week, we paid his April rent and his April storage facility cost.  All additional donations are going toward his cell phone bill, website maintenance, anything Jasper needs (he got a bath!) and other expenses that Richard's team is handling.  Thank you so very much for your help for Richard!

UPDATE!  We hit our original goal of $1,200.00 for Richard's rent of the apartment.  THANKS to all of you for your incredible kindness!  I have a check for the landlords that I am dropping off today.  We got a call via Richard's cell phone that his storage facilty payment is past due.  So!  We are paying that asap.  And I have a feeling we will have other charges coming up like his cell phone.  So I have made the financial goal higher for now.  Thank you again for your support for Richard!

Richard Gardner, resident Fresh Pond photographer, enthusiastic naturalist, dog lover and friend of the Fresh Pond Reservation community has experienced a severe stroke that has left him partially paralyzed.  He remains in the Neuro ICU at Beth Israel in Boston.  His rent is coming due for April 1st.  We are hoping to pay for his rent for April while his core group of people works with him to decide what to do after April. 

I know our dear friend would appreciate our use of computers and social media to help him in his desperate time of need.

The rent is $1,200.00.  If you can help with any amount, it would be hugely helpful.  If we happen to go beyond that amount - any extra money will be used to care for his beloved dog, Jasper.
