My Car Project

I've been debating if I should do this or not for quite some time, but I feel as though if I'm going to start a gofundme, now is the time to do so.
A little history about me. I have a degree in computer science, but due to disabilities, I haven't been able to work since I graduated around three years ago. I have Crohn's disease, which has resulted in over ten surgeries in the past year alone. On top of that, and more debilitating, is a psychosis disorder that started around two years ago. I would constantly hear voices and have delusions which made doing anything near impossible, whether it be work or play (and hardly did I feel like I deserved play, let alone to follow my passions with all the delusions I have endured).
Thankfully I am able to stay with my parents, who have helped me immensely since this started. Unfortunately, I haven't had my own car during this period, which also makes doing anything that helps me feel remotely human difficult. In a recent turn of events, however, my mother's car (my first car) blew a head gasket. Since I enjoy working on vehicles, they gave me that car to work on.
This is where this gofundme campaign comes in. As I have not been able to hold a job, I don't have much money to afford the parts I need/want for this build. I already have a number of parts around from my last car, which I salvaged many parts from while fixing my sister's car using it's parts, including the engine. I would love nothing more than to be able to afford the parts needed to make this project a success. The posted goal is a bare minimum, but any funds I manage to raise over that amount will continue to go into this project, as there are many other things I would like to do.
Please help my dream come to fruition. Even if it's $5.00, it still makes a difference. I would love to be able to drive again, as it would afford me much more freedom to live my life again, and possibly open some doors regarding finding a job that I can manage these days. I see this project as a form of therapy for myself, so I'm really looking forward to this working out. It really would be a life changing project.
Thank you so much for reading this far.
