Save Kona!

Hello there,

Our names are Amber and Mike. We're Kona's owners, a 5 month old adorable Doberman Pinscher.

Kona is such a sweet little puppy, she will always greet you with a big smile and wag her little tail in excitement no matter the day or time it is. 


Unfortunately, we faced a difficult decision this past weekend. We were given two options - go into a high amount of debt and save Kona or euthanize her.

We could not let her be euthanized, she is so young and has so much life ahead of her. We decided to go forward with her immediate surgery. 

She ingested a foreign object which was obstructing her intestines causing her a great deal of pain. On top of that worms developed in her intestines which made things a little more complicated. 

We don't like to ask for things, we believe in working hard. Both of us have already picked up a second job just to get through this. It's becoming physically and mentally challenging but we're trying our best and would be extremely grateful for any help given to us. We believe in paying it forward one day as well.


Here's a list of what she's gotten so far and it's still growing due to complications that were unforeseen. Our bill is really high because it was on a Sunday and of course a hospital is generally much more expensive but we did not have another day to wait, it was a life and death situation for Kona.
