Fund for Randy Bilyeu's Family
Recently, a fellow treasure hunter, Randy Bilyeu, and his dog Leo, went for a treasure hunt in New Mexico and Randy has not returned. The New Mexico Search and Rescue team is working tirelessly to find him. They have located his dog Leo and his raft, and hope to find him well.
Randy has an ex-wife, two daughters, and two grandchildren that eagerly wait for word of his safe return. Unfortunately, they are in Florida, and there is little they can do, but wait and pray.
If you want to help Randy's family, you can donate here. This fund will be given to them, and will be used for whatever is needed to get Randy home.
If you can't donate, but still want to help, we ask that you send your prayers and well wishes to Randy's family.
Thank you all so much for your continued support, prayers, and dedication in finding our Dad and our kids grandfather. For the past few years, Dad truly loved exploring the Rockies and embracing the thrill of the chase.
It's been a little over a week since we realized Dad was missing and it has been such an emotional whirlwind. We are so sad, and still sick with worry. The only good news is that Leo is ok and we have found a whole new community of wonderful people, our new treasure hunter friends.
This will be a long journey. We wanted to give you all an update and to say thank you and an extra thank you to Sacha for organizing this fundraiser. It was an unexpected surprise. The funds will go towards travel, caring for Leo, other expenses that will arise after finding Dad, etc.
We are taking it one day at a time.
Thank you again.
I have been meeting with people all day, and we have come up with a few things.
1. We are going out to look for Randy tomorrow. We are getting a group of treasure hunters together to go out and look.
2. Forrest arranged for a friend to bring in an airplane tomorrow. We are working out the details on that now. Cynthia has volunteered to ride along and help search for Randy. She will be taking off from Santa Fe tomorrow afternoon. They probably will also have it available on Wednesday, if needed.
3. Since there are several of us looking, we should meet up in the morning. I have an idea or two about where, but if you are interested, email me directly at cutterconcepts at gmail.com. We will coordinate all efforts so that we can make sure we cover as much ground as possible, without searching the same areas over and over again.
I know many of you return to work tomorrow, but if you are available, we could use you. If you can't hike, I am sure we could use some hot chocolate.
If you DO want to search tomorrow, there are a few rules we have to follow:
-Wear brightly colored vest or jacket. We need to make sure our searchers are easy to spot from the air.
-Bring WATER! No, one bottle is not enough.
-Let us know where you are searching. We don't want a searcher to be mistaken for Randy. We don't want to accidentally deploy and rescue teams either.
If you have ATVs, handheld radios, vests, drones, or anything else that you think might help find Randy, please email me.
Might interest you to know, I went to recover the chest as I solved the poem, I also searched the area in question with google earth and found the chest in a 2014 Landsat scan. No this is legitimate I assure you. The problem is and you would be interested in this. The chest was no longer there. It was recovered probably by Fenn and he at least would know it wasn't out there when tragically 4 people have lost their lives since in searching for it. This culminates in Fenn and possibly Neitzel of 4 wrongful death suites for manslaughter in that he or they could have prevented by publicising the chest had been removed. I am interested in offering up my solution that fits absolutely the poem and is the only solution and the satellite NW coordinates that clearly show the treasure chest today. This post is dynamite and biblical as it provides conclusive proof and evidence for a class action for wrongful death and manslaughter I am contactable on +61405334690. My sincerest sympathies and anything I can do to help.
