Solomon Chau's Fight Against Cancer
Solomon is a 26 year old chef, originally from St. Catharines, Ontario, who has recently laid roots in Toronto by starting a career with hopes to eventually start a family. Solomon has worked countless hours to establish himself with Toronto’s most reputable restaurants. The diagnosis came as a HUGE surprise to since Solomon has always led a healthy lifestyle, including a passion for exercise and nutrition.
Solomon is deeply loved by his family and friends, and was blessed with a heart so large it puts most of us to shame. He is one of the kindest, most giving, selfless, and caring people we have ever met. He is the first to help in any situation, a true friend and someone you can always depend on. The news and situation Solomon now faces should never have to be experienced by anyone, let alone a 26 year old healthy young man. We wish that Jenn and Sol will be given the opportunity to make the absolute most of his precious time. Solomon’s final wish is to have one last trip with Jenn. We hope to raise money to fund Jenn and Sol’s wedding, and to send them on an unforgettable trip together.
We ask you to please help in any way you can. All support is greatly appreciated. We want Solomon to know how loved he is and we would be so grateful to provide him with whatever opportunities are possible in this difficult time.
Please share this message with anyone you think may be willing to assist. We greatly appreciate your time and consideration.
Solomon Chau and Jenn Carter’s Family and Friends
We are amazed with all the love and support that has flowed in so quickly from the community. Solomon has been incredibly encouraged by all the people who have reached out thus far, and feels lucky to be surrounded by people who love him.
As Solomon's brother I really wanted to share Hannah's post she wrote on facebook (she gave me permission) with the entire community and everyone that has helped so far. Hannah is one of Soloman's two sisters. ''To all my friends and the people I have on facebook, I may not use facebook often but I wanted to let everyone know, the whole world to know how truly amazing my little brother Solomon is. He`s a funny, easy going guy who loves life. He`s humble and truly a gentleman with all respect. I`m so proud of you Sol and I love you dearly. You`re my little brother (and Thida and Mongkols`s too), and always will be. I remember our childhood memories, walking to school everyday with you, taking the bus, you always asking me to come watch your football games…you would always make me laugh. Watching anime, playing video games, playing soccer and baseball with the four of us outside the apartment we used to live in, stopping by Jim`s Variety story for candies on vine st...those memories are awesome. And there are many more memories of us too when you lived in Toronto. Every hang out was a little adventures for us :). Now hearing soo many wonderful touching stories from our extended families, your closed friends who have now become a part of our family and everyone here has left me beyond words and speechless. Sol- not only have you been and always have been our awesome little brother, you have touched so many lives with your presence, your jokes and smile. I can`t thank you enough for being you, the person you are today …I am so blessed to have you in my life and to be your sister. ..Solomon who is my little brother has been diagnosed with liver cancer. I am asking for everyone to please keep my little brother in your prayers. My family and I are beyond moved by the generosity, the unconditional love and support that have left us all sooo deeply touched. I believe in miracles and I believe that Sol will make it through and will make the best of times with all of us here. Thank you, thank you so much and hope that everyone will love a little more and remind ourselves how much we need to appreciate and be grateful for the life we have. God bless and I love you Sol and Jenn! Your love is so beautiful and pure, powerful and genuine-I can`t wait to celebrate the big day with you guys and with our amazing family and friends!!! XOXOXO Love one of your sisters, Hannah XOXO "
You might want to see Jeanette Wayne, a healer in Toronto. You can read about my experiences with her in Chapter 4 of my book "The Impossible Happens." You can text her at 416-939-4077 and ask for an appointment. You might need to do that once a week for several weeks before you hear anything back. You can tell her I sent you. Good luck and enjoy your life together. True love is a treasure!
