12/13/17--FINAL UPDATE! (Success!!)
This is Bill's sister (Mary) doing the final update for this incredible fund.
As you know, Roger Goodell gifted Bill with Super Bowl tickets. (Thanks, Roger!)
In case you were wondering what Bill will be doing with the money (now that he doesn't need to buy Super Bowl tickets), here's some information. The fund will be used to purchase airplane tickets, hotel, ground transportation, food (Bill eats A LOT), and other Super Bowl expenses. (If the Patriots make it, Bill will likely buy a jersey or two!) Michael Chillemi is working on procuring rooms in the NFL block (near the stadium). The fund will pay for this, and I'm guessing the hotels will be charging a small fortune. And due to your generosity, Bill can afford to pay their prices.
Because we believe all of his Super Bowl expenses are covered, we will be closing the fund in the next few days.
Special thank you to Michael Chillemi. Michael is the son of Bill's childhood friend (David). Michael volunteered to organize this entire endeavor. (I don't think he had any idea how much time he would be spending on it!) He is a resident and great representative of the Tarrytown spirit. And thank you to Bill's daughter, Teresa, who has figured out how to get the funds transferred to Bill's bank account.
Our family is so grateful to all of you. Not only does our brother get to fulfill his dream, but we get an amazing story to help cheer us up when things aren't going perfectly.

Words cannot begin to express our gratitude to The NFL & Roger Goodell enough for making this dream come true for our close friend and fantasy football legend Fire Chief Bill. Two weeks ago my brother in-law & I started the Go-Fund Me page and in two weeks’ time we have raised over $10k! We raised enough attention to our story in order to make it all the way to Roger Goodell’s ears; and today he dropped by the Tarrytown firehouse with his wife and daughters to hand deliver tickets to Super Bowl LII as a thank you for Bill’s service and selflessness to our community. No one deserves this more than Bill, and I am truly honored that Roger Goodell took the time out of his day to do this. We could not be more thankful for everything this community has done for someone who needs it the most.
We will continue to raise funds for the next few weeks to help pay for any additional costs associated with this trip and whatever funds remaine will go directly to Bill to help pay for medical expenses and funeral costs.
On behalf of Bill and his family, we would like to thank everyone for their continued support, thoughts and prayers.

It is with heavy hearts that we inform you our close friend and fantasy sports legend Bill Duggan, aka Fire Chief Bill, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Bill will be receiving treatment and fighting day in and day out. Bill is one of the strongest, kindest, and most genuine people you will ever meet. It has been a lifelong dream of his to go to a super bowl and we are asking for your help to make that dream a reality. Although he is a Patriots fan, we still want to help him cross this amazing adventure off of his bucket list. If you are able to donate anything at all to help this cause it would literally mean the world to Bill and to us all. Thank you all in advance for taking part in something that means so much to Bill and everyone he knows. Please reach out and send your love. If there’s ever a time he needs it, it’s now.
