Help Josh and Heather beat Cancer

Donation protected

It is with heartfelt gratitude that we thank this community, that has and continues to support Josh and Heather in their battle to beat cancer. Thank you for spreading the word about their story, for the generous and selfless donations, and for the many prayers.

Josh passed on Saturday, April 27th 2019, surrounded by his loving family. The funds raised will be used to pay medical bills (treatment, medications, hospital stay), and related funeral costs. Your donations will help to ease the heavy financial burden that has been so unfairly placed on the family. Thank you so much, everyone. We love you, Josh.

As many of you know, Josh's mother, Heather, is also fighting stage 4 cancer.  The emotional trauma and hardship has taken a toll on her health,  accelerating the urgent need to find effective treatment and healing. We are continuing to raise funds for the family in order to finance the travel and treatment costs for Heather to be admitted to Hope4Cancer (https://hope4cancer.com/) in Tijuana. The cost is $57,000. Please continue to donate, share on social media, spread the word, and send prayers and words of encouragement, as Heather continues to fight. The need is still so great and so urgent.

Every prayer, donation, and share continues to be a profound blessing.

On behalf of Josh, his family would like to thank you for your continued love, prayers, and support on his journey to beat cancer. As Josh continues to fight, the family has been heavily burdened with overwhelming medical bills, in addition to the unimaginable emotional, mental, and physical strain. As some of you are aware, Josh's mother, Heather, has also been diagnosed with cancer, requiring extensive treatment. By which, the family has already used savings of more than $45,000 in treatment costs, with more medical bills accumulating as his treatment continues. Josh's father, Rodney, is being faced with unthinkable pressure of financing the treatment for both Josh and his wife Heather while caring for his 7-year-old son.

Josh and his family have been informed that alternative treatment is possible for him at a cancer treatment facility in Tijuana (Link: hope4cancer.com ). The cost is $57,000.

We are pleading for anyone who is able and willing to help, to please consider donating to help Josh have access to the treatment that he needs, and help reduce the financial burden on this family;  a burden no family should have to bear in the face of such adversity. Please also consider sharing and spreading the word. Due to the time limitation,  it is important to share with as many people as possible, as quickly as possible. There is no gift too small, anything helps.

Below is background information on Josh's battle:

Josh was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in February of 2017. For the past two years he has been battling his cancer with everything he had. A few months ago Josh’s oncologist let him know that the treatment approach the had been trying was no longer effective. At the same time, we were told that Josh’s tumor had metastasized and spread to his brain and hip and that the tumors had grown in size. On February 13th Josh underwent 12 straight hours of radiation on his brain. He also had radiation twice on his hip. A few weeks later Josh went to the ER when he was severely struggling to breathe, he was told he had pneumonia and after another stay he was sent home with oxygen tanks to assist his breathing. A few short weeks later Josh had a really close call and the family had to call 911 to save Josh and he was back in the ER where they worked hard to save him and then he was quickly transferred to the ICU where the doctors informed him that he did not have pneumonia but that his symptoms were from the progression of his disease. His cancer had continued to spread, yet Josh still continues to fight. After a round of Chemo that weakened his immune system badly and left him wiped out he was told the tumors actually got bigger instead of shrinking as they were hoping. Now he is being told that they don’t have any other treatment options. Fortunately, we have found an alternative treatment center, where the doctors truly believe they can help Josh. Josh is currently continuing his fight at The Kobacker House (Ohio Health Hospice) and eagerly awaits the opportunity to try an alternative medical approach at an inpatient medical facility at Hope4Cancer.

Please continue your prayers, encouragement, and support. If able to donate, any financial support is both invaluable and deeply appreciated. Please spread the word and share.
