Paying for Asias Treatment

Donation protected

In or around1998 I was told that it would be next to or impossible for me to ever have children which was 1 of the many heartbreaking things that I would ever be told. Yet summer of 2006 all of that changed. I was told I was pregnant. I almost lost my princess and was a high risk pregnancy. On March14, 2007 I gave birth to the most beautiful healthy babygirl Asia LaDora Jackson. A few years later her brother followed and we couldn't be happier. After playing with her other little brother Dominic and the two falling down the back porch stairs Asia started complaining of her neck upon taking her to the orthopedic team at MCV they decided to have an mri preformed to see if anything major had happened. I will never forget the day not even the date I heard the words that would change an shatter our lives forever. On August22, 2015 Asia was diagnosed with what we were told at the time was epithiliod sarcoma. One of the rarest forms of cancer. So about 10 surgeries that lasted at least 12 to 14 hrs at a time a halo brace paralysis in both upper arms and shoulders radiation treatment we then started chemo.Only to have to abruptly stop due to a hole in her esophagus that caused a life threatening infection in her hardware. They told me to make plans to bury my child. To go home and tell her father and prepare for the worst. I refused to give up and so did she.To everyones surprise a month to the day she was admitted Asia was coming home with a feeding tube in place her little now 49 lb body would get all the nourishment it needed. For about 6 months we fought a tough battle I read everything I could to help her we transferred to a different hospital about a hour and a half away from our home in Richmond. Around thanksgiving her body was again strong enough for the chemo so she flew through this round with flying colors and the help of mommas nutrition( that momma prayed to the man upstairs to guide her mind and hand and show her the way.) . Well all of this to find out the chemo didnt fully work . Our options were to go to N.Y. and participate in a study that we had previously checked on after she was discharged from mcv the last round we then found out Asia had been misdiagnosed it was not epithiliod sarcoma it was another type of sarcoma similar yet it was chordoma and it is way worse than the 1st diagnosis there was defiantly no cure only borrowed time.I refused to believe this once again God wouldn't give me such a gift a angel how or why would he take away the only one thing I wanted that I was given after being told that I would never have.So here began our journey to N.Y. and guess what? It has been 2 yrs this year. The medicine is slowy shrinking her tumors. Yet we have hit a bump in the road I am not sure if you all are familiar of the cost of food lodging and travel in and to as well from N.Y. the cheapest trip ever taken I would say is 2,500.00. I obviously have had a lot of help with the cost but now all of our funds are running low. I refuse to give up and we have came too far. If I have to carry her on my back and eat out of the dumpster I would do just that to just keep my baby well. We still have a long road because the study can last up to 2years and then of course there's the follow ups and things I assume we will have to go through afterwards. Please we need your help if you were me what wouldn't you want to save your precious angel. Anything will help us.
