Help Send the Purple LEGO Eaters to the Razorback Invitational!!!
Who are we?
We are The Purple LEGO Eaters from Greenlawn, New York. Our team consists of 10 members from 5th through 8th grade including 4 sets of siblings!

Why are we fundraising?
We are 1 of 4 teams chosen, out of roughly 200 on Long Island, to compete at the national level. The Purple LEGO Eaters will be participating in the Razorback Invitational at the Univeristy of Arkansas on May 18-21. It is an honor for us to advance to this level, as there are many incredible teams on Long Island, and it is a truly amazing life experience. Six of our team members will age out of FLL after this season, and this will be a perfect conclusion to a great FLL experience for them.
We are fundraising to help offset the cost of participation in the razorback invitational including registration fees, travel and lodging expenses.

What is FIRST LEGO League?
FIRST Lego League (FLL) is a technology-focused program for children designed to inspire a love for, and understanding of, science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). It also fosters self-confidence, communications skills, teamwork, critical thinking, and what Dr. Woodie Flowers (Pappalardo Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology) calls “gracious professionalism”, which is the concept that high level competition goes hand-in-hand with treating everyone and everything with respect and kindness. With guidance from mentors, children on FLL teams devote themselves to designing, building, programing, and competing with a robot, and researching a real-world problem and developing a viable solution using STEM. This year, 255,000 children from 88 countries around the world are participating.
Thank you very much for your support and helping us participate in this amazing event!
