Kidney Transplant

Many of you guys knew me when I was first diagnosed with Lupus, April 2009. In case many were wondering, Lupus is a autoimmune disease where my own body attacks itself. This can include any organ, icluding the skin. In my case, I have both SLE and Discoid Lupus. It was one of the hardest pill to swallow because I had to physically and mentally slow myself down in order to live. Many side effects include joint pain, muscle spasm and cramps, rashes- literally burning from the inside boils, fatigue, nausea, hair loss, ulcers, weight loss; just to name a few. Last year, my kidneys took a turn for the worse and I am now at stage 5 kidney disease, which means that I require a new kidney. Thanks to Jehovah and the love of dear friends, four live donors offered their kidney to me. Just recently we were able to find a match. Due to a rapid decline in my health and increase in doctor appointments, my doctors have suggested I take sick leave so as not to put a strain on my body before the surgery. Soon by the end of August to the beginning of September, I'll be receiving my friend's kidney. Due to having my doctors at Atlanta Emory, I will be in ICU and the regular rooms for a couple of weeks and then I will need to stay in Atlanta, GA near the hospital for daily checkups. As you can imagine, this will be costly transition due to having the procedure, temporary apartment, transportation, food, bills, medicine etc. I thought I would be able to handle it by working but physically I am no longer able to. It took serious convincing , from my doctors and friends, to do this because as many of you all know, I am very independent and like to resolve issues on my own without asking for any help. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated and if you are not able to give, your loving prayers will also be greatly appreciated!!!
