Our names are Hilary and Katie and we have the best cat ever! He is a sweet 7 year old boy who loves to hang out, play fetch and drink from the toilet. Because of his amazing personality, we named him Puppy!
Puppy was diagnosed with skin cancer on his nose (Squamous Cell Carcinoma). It started as a small scab but is larger now and has began to disentegrate his nasal cavity. This makes it difficult for him to breathe through his nose. The good news is that the cancer has not spread, and with several chemo sessions, it can be treated. After treatments, Puppy will be able to live a long and normal life. If his cancer goes untreated, there is a high chance that it will be fatal.
Puppy's best treatment option is electrochemotherapy. "Electrochemotherapy involves combining a normally poorly absorbed chemotherapy agent and the delivery of an electrical field directly to the tumor." I don't want to make anyone queasy with graphic details & pictures, but I'd be happy to provide more information upon request.
We are raising money to pay for his treatment. He needs to undergo 5 electrochemotherapy sessions. Each session costs $500.
Puppy means the world to us. He is truly one of a kind and makes everyone who meets him smile. We want to begin his chemo as soon as possible, so he can have his face back and breathe easier.
