Pull Ups for Charity

On May 28, 2010 seven terrorists wielding guns, grenades and suicide vests stormed into two crowded Ahmadi Muslim mosques in Pakistan and opened fire, killing 94 victims and injuring more than 120. The coordinated attacks took place just minutes apart. The nightmare didn’t end for survivors the day of the mosque attacks. A few days later, gunmen attacked the intensive-care Unit of Lahore’s Jinnah Hospital, where victims and one of the alleged attackers were recovering. Twelve more people, including police officers and hospital staff, were killed. In this event, I personally had a few family members who were held hostage and were injured in the attacks. I still remember watching a live broadcast of the attack with my eyes glued to the TV and fervently praying for the safety of the victims. 

On March 15, 2019 50 worshipers were killed and 50 more were seriously injured in mass shootings at two mosques in the New Zealand city of Christchurch on March 19 in a carefully planned and unprecedented atrocity that shocked the usually peaceful nation. 

Having had family members almost killed in an identical situation in Pakistan, I made it my goal to find a way to support the victims of the New Zealand Mosque shooting. 

I have been sponsored by CEO and founder of the company Class 101 to do pull ups for charity. For every pull up I can successfully do in 8 hours, one dollar will be donated to the victims of the NZ Mosque victims. Since January, I  have trained extensively at the Louisville TKO boxing gym in combination with  some US Military physical and mental conditioning exercises.
