Public Bathrooms for Olympia
Donation protected
Olympia Washington is a beautiful town at the southernmost tip of the Puget Sound, about 60 miles south of Seattle. Olympia is the state capital and the gateway to the majestic Olympic Penninsula, attracting thousands of visitors annually.
And yet, Olympia has few public bathrooms after 4:00 PM every day.
The City of Olympia has decided to turn a blind eye to this obvious problem because it is costly, inconveniencing visitors and placing
the unfortunate burden of their bathroom needs on the local merchants. And many merchants are not open 24 hours. This isn't right, or fair. It isn't just pet waste you see in the alleys and sidewalks...
Help us kickstart a campaign to wipe clean Olympia's shameful bathroom problem by demonstrating that you care with a modest $5.00 or more donation. All proceeds will go to fund a Pilot Public Potty Program (www.TinkleStop.com). Show the public officials that bathroom needs are human needs. Tell Olympia that the human body doesn't just go into hibernation mode at 4:00 PM daily. Let's clean this situation up!
Oh what a relief it would be!
Update: We're not alone in Olympia. Many cities and towns face similar issues. Phlush , in Portland, OR has published a free "Public Advocacy Toolkit" to help. Download it here, free .
