Public accessible AED
Donation protected
Hi,
I have started this go fund me page to get a public AED (automated external defibrillator) to place at the address of 358 new road, in Barnsley.
With an ambulance taking up to 8 minutes to arrive to a cardiac arrest every minute counts for every minute waiting the chance of survival drops 10% per minute.
I recently renewed my first aid at work which included AED training, we all got talking and one man on the course had, had 2 cardiac arrests and was now fitted with a pace maker and everyone else on the course had known someone who had.
My great uncle is alive today due to fast response and a defibrillator he's since had a tipple heart by pass and will out live us all.
This got me thinking Where's the nearest public AED m in our community there's one in Darton at the petrol station if I was to time it it's probably a 5 min round trip rushing. With every minute costing someone a drop in survival of %10. More AEDs are needed.
Please donate this is for the cost of the AED, I will pay for it fitting and any other costs for its upkeep.
I hope you all understand that this is for everyone's benefit and it could save someone close to you.
Thank you.
