Help the Animals at Rose Valley

Donation protected

Rose Valley Veterinary Hospital and the Dr.'s Moshe and Noa Oz are the saviours for our community of furry family members. It doesn't matter the situation, and it doesn't matter if you are even a patient - every animal deserves a chance, no matter how slim, and this is where they get it.

Every year in our community of West Kelowna and other areas throughout the Okanagan Valley, we are faced with devastating forest fires that force people and their pets out of their homes, sometimes for days at a time. In many instances, people are not given much notice when they are told to leave, and finding a place to stay when you’ve been evacuated becomes much more difficult when you have your furry family members in tow.

Dr. Moshe Oz and his wife Dr. Noa Oz, along with all of the staff at Rose Valley Veterinarian Hospital open the doors of Rose Valley Veterinary Hospital and take in all animals who need shelter and a place to stay and be cared for while they are separated from their families. No one is turned away, and they do it all at no charge.

But it doesn’t end there. So many times, animals that have been attacked, hit by cars, or afflicted with a terrible illness end up at Rose Valley, too. Many of these animals have owners who are not able to always afford the high cost of treatment and surgery, and at any other hospital, these animals might not have a chance. Even with their regular patients, the well-being of the animals always comes first. When faced with the heart wrenching reality of having to put your pet down because you can’t afford treatment, the Dr.’s Oz step in and ease that pain and take the burden on themselves to do whatever is needed. Even if that means their time isn’t paid for and in some extreme cases, they will bear the entire expense.

One such instance is a recent surprise of not one, not two, but NINE puppies who were brought in with Parvo and had very little hope for survival. The care of these puppies reached over $15,000 and was entirely covered by the hospital.

It is my hope that the funds raised here will help Dr. Oz and all of the staff at Rose Valley get what they need to continue to help all of these animals without worrying of the financial burden. They will never choose to let an animal suffer or die because of someone's lack of money, so now we can be the ones who help.

Without the help, compassion and love so many of us have received from Dr. Oz and the staff at Rose Valley, our beloved animals would not be with us. Please do what you can to support all that they do for us.
