Who are we?
We're a new rescue group in Canberra, made up of passionate caring and driven volunteers who want to make Canberra and surrounds a better place for the many abandoned animals!
We are saving kittens and cats currently with the aim to commence saving other furry friends in the future.
Our cats and kittens come from the pounds where we save them on the day they are due to be put down.
What will th money be spent on?
Please help us with the start up costs of running this rescue group, we have had to buy essentials such as business registrations, initial suppies, and insurance. This hasn't left us with any money if we need additional vet work for any of our cats/kittens if they need it.
All money goes directly into the rescue group, for the animals, and no members wil be entitled to any money (nor wages, etc).
We often (not always) break-even ($0 profit) for cats/kittens once we pay for all of the vetwork required (desexing, worming, vaccination, deflea) with the $300 adoption fee we get back. However standard vet work doesn't always happen so we desparately need some money set aside for the time when we will get a cat/kitten requiring additional treatment (e.g. kitten formula, medicines, dental work, etc) so we can afford to do this instead of not being able to take the cat into care.
We're part way through an incredibly busy kitten season so please put us on your christmas wishlist this year.
Any amount no matter how big or small will make a difference. We love animals and Canberra and with your help we can strive for the day that we can live in a city with no abandoned, neglected, abused or homeless animals.
