PR Project 2018

Pam Reed, the ultra running legend, is going the extra mile in 2018.

In a career that spans over 3 decades, Pam Reed reigns as one of the most accomplished ultra runners ever, with multiple wins at the Badwater 135, dubbed the "Toughest Foot Race on Earth" by Outside Magazine, World Records in the 24Hour and 48 Hour Races and well over 80 finishes in 100 mile races.

All of these accomplishments have been training for her ultimate goal: the Transcontinental Record

This February, Pam and her crew will set out from California, bound for New York with the goal of breaking the Guinness World Record of 69 days, 2 hours and 40 minutes for a Transcontinental crossing of the US. This 35-year old record is just waiting to be smashed, and Pam will be going the extra mile to do it. Learn more about the Pam and the PR Project here

Pam is a tireless advocate for health and fitness and the PR Project will also serve as a platform to raise awareness about a mental health concern facing 16.1 million American adults every year: depression. Despite a stellar racing career, Pam herself has struggled with the disorder and wants to use the PR Project as a vehicle to advance the conversation about mental health.

A portion of the funds raised for the PR Project will go directly to the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation, one of the leading charities directly supporting research in the field.
