¡Necesitamos tu ayuda!
Somos Cecilia, Borja, Marta, Leticia, María, Alejandro e Íñigo, un grupo de 7 scouts, de 19 y 20 años, y necesitamos fondos para llevar a cabo un proyecto social en Kenia. Proyecto Mashili nace con el objetivo de, a través de nuestra colaboración con la Asociación Emaús, poner en marcha un centro de emprendimiento, creación de negocio y desarrollo social en el distrito de Tana River County (Kenia).
El proyecto, que comenzará en el verano de 2019, aspira a construir un edificio con diversos espacios donde desarrollar diversos negocios. Éstos, que irían desde un negocio de costura hasta una panadería o escuela de cocina, son de gran importancia para la calidad de vida y la autonomía económica de unos 200 jóvenes de esta zona.
La mayoría de la población de este condado vive de una economía de subsistencia a través de la agricultura y el pastoreo, ascendiendo al 80% la población que vive bajo el umbral de la pobreza absoluta. Los jóvenes, la mayoría sin trabajo, provienen de familias a las que les ha resultado imposible sufragar sus estudios. Este proyecto les permitiría una mayor accesibilidad al empleo, empoderándoles y permitiéndoles desarrollar todas sus capacidades.
Pero todo ello no lo podemos llevar a cabo sin tu ayuda: necesitamos financiación para sufragar todos los gastos del proyecto. Por ello agradecemos enormemente cualquier tipo de ayuda, ya sea en forma de donación o incluso compartiendo el proyecto en redes sociales.

We are Cecilia, Borja, Marta, Leticia, María, Alejandro and Íñigo, a group of 7 scouts, aged 19 and 20, and we need funds to carry out a social project in Kenya. Mashili Project was born with the objective of, through our collaboration with the Emmaus Association, set up a center for entrepreneurship, business creation and social development in the district of Tana River County (Kenya).
The project, which will begin in the summer of 2019, aspires to build a venue with different spaces to develop several businesses. These, which would go from a sewing business to a bakery and cooking school, are of great importance for the quality of life and economic autonomy of over 200 young people in this area.
The majority of the population of this county lives from a subsistence economy through agriculture and pastoralism, thus 80% of the population lives below the threshold of absolute poverty. These young people, most of wich are unemployed, come from families that have found it impossible to afford their studies. This project would allow them to have greater accessibility to employment, empowering them and allowing them to develop all their capacities.
But we cannot carry this out without your help: we need financing to cover all the expenses of the project. For this reason we greatly appreciate any kind of help, either in the form of a donation or even sharing the project in social networks.
Along with this campaign we are carrying out a fundraising process by selling bracelets and sweatshirts with our logo. If you also wish to help us with this, do not hesitate to contact us through the email that appears below, or through our networks.
