Providing for the Children

On June 15, 2018 Tla-o-qui-aht fishermen Marcel Martin, Carl Michael and Terrance Brown Jr became unaccounted for while on the ocean. As this is being posted, the search is into it's 12th day.
Their children are not only missing the love and guidance of their Dad's, but their main providers as well. Marcel Martin is father to 3 children with his wife Ivy Martin, Carl Michael has 1 child being cared for by his mother, and Terrence Brown Jr has one child with spouse Selina Howard.
We invite you to walk with us in providing for these families to create space in which the children's needs can come first, both materially and emotionally. Many grief counsellors recommend those experiencing profound grief to postpone major decisions for one year. We hope to provide that security to allow the focus to be on healing & reduce some the stress during this adjustment period.
All funds will go directly to the children and their Mothers or their care givers. Funds will provide benefit as soon as they are received as they will relieve pressure from the mothers and/or legal guardians to provide for the basic necessity's of life for themselves and their children.
Please contribute via this Go Fund Me Campaign which will be divided equally between the three families
or alternatively you can make a direct contribution to each family at the CIBC in Tofino through the family's names.

Who I am:
My name is Carla Moss and I'm from Tofino. I am close family to those fishermen unaccounted for. The funds collected are intended for the care of the children and will be divided equally and will be given to whoever has the responsibility for those children.
Funds will only be withdrawn from the go fund me campaign in the presence of CIBC bank staff to be deposited directly into the caregivers accounts.
