Protect New Mexico's Wild Horses

The Wild Horses of New Mexico including those wrongly penned in Alto/Ruidoso and the historic and Spanish Wild Horses of Placitas, are in an ongoing battle for their very existance.
If they lose this battle, they will be auctioned as estray livestock to the highest bidder, by the New Mexico Livestock Board.
WHOA/Wild Horses of Lincoln County just won a hard fought legislative VICTORY over a BAD BILL, NM Senate Bill 126, YESTERDAY 3/18/2017!!
- This bill, SB126, would have changed their legal status from wild to livestock, and cleverly written in a way that seemed to dupe many legislators. It was also vehemently supported by multiple Livestock industry lobbyists and even an Animal Protection Lobbyist! This was a very complicated battle! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kg6ata_bvc8
WHOA has also recently WON a temporary restraining order (TRO) in September of 2016 to stop the public auctioning of the beloved Wild horses of Alto/Ruidoso. WHOA/Wild Horses of Lincoln County is working through the courts right now, to set them FREE!!

and WHOA is currently in the NM Appellate Court for New Mexico's State's Wild Horses.
These WINS in court are based on our legislative work with the honorable Senator Steve Komadina culminating in NMSA 77-18-5 and more, in 2007.
Please Help us continue this work to secure their freedom and their future place in New Mexico in the WILD.
Donations collected will be spent on legal fees, as well as feed,
for the 13 Alto/Ruidoso Wild Horses, and their new NEW BABIES, whose temporary reprieve from auction we have won in court, and a minimal amount on expenses to include PR.
