I'm a DJ for www.bikerradio.net and I met one of our members who is doing something marvellous. He is riding a bicycle from one side of Australia to the other to raise money for an Aussie veteran who lost his leg and needs a new one.  Here is the artice from the Western Australian News.  http://www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/i-could-buy-a-porsche-for-less-veteran-to-ride-coasttocoast-for-130000-prosthetic-leg-20180114-h0i1cn.html

Dave , who served as an Infantryman in the 2/4 Battalion of the Royal Australian Regiment,
was telling me about what he was doing and why and I decided to do what I can to help, so I started this page.  If you want you can also donate through the link on their facebook page.   https://www.facebook.com/donate/524299367932296/

I don't do facebook so I cant help through there but I can through here. There will also be links on Biker Radio's home page for people to donate and you can also donate directly to Biker Radio and all donations will go directly to the cause.

This is such a worthy cause. This young man has served our country and he isn't being looked after like he should. Anything I can do to support veterans is a good thing.  Please donate whatever you can to help this young man to be able to live a normal life again!

This is from David. "0n the 1st of March 2018 I will be pedaling from Coogee WA to Coogee NSW which is approximately 4000 kms in an attempt to raise $130,000 to assist a former soldier with the purchase of a quality artificial leg that is waterproof and will allow him to live a life of much better quality than he currently has. This is a big ask and I have good people helping me with promoting and setup of Go Fund Me. We have achieved just over $1000 in the go fund me which is a good start and thank you to those that have put money in already. Also thank you to Nicki Horne and Karen Court for working together and helping with this. So the ultimate goal is to pay for the leg and have that money on the completion of my ride. What ever we collect will be put into a trust account for the soul purpose of funding the leg. This is a big challenge and a lot of money so please support this effort. We have a face book presence Coogee to Cooge for Veterans."
"Everything we do is voluntary no one is being paid and the only costs are for the actual ride including fuel. We will be swagging our way across and eating ration pack food most of the time. Peter Kelleher will be the support driver and playing gigs as we cross from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean so if you are on our path come down and support what we are doing. PK will be playing songs from his album and other peoples songs to entertain you.
I hope we will be successful and if any businesses want to get on board with sponsorship that would be awesome. You will be able to have your business promoted on the bus travelling across Australia. I would also like to thank Mike Lee for his continued support and organising things on the Coogee NSW side of things. I believe with his contacts over in Sydney he has organised 2 nights accomodation at the Park Royal for myself and PK on our arrival.
Lastly the greatest supporter of what I do my wife Cindy and My daughter Simone Louise Beacham you two are the best.
I will put updates up on my page as we go along thankyou for reading."
