Waarom een danstheatervoorstelling Reclaiming the Goddess? We zijn in een moment beland dat er een collectieve verschuiving lijkt plaats te vinden in het herwinnen van de vrouwelijke kracht, het aanboren van de Divine Feminine en hiermee het herstellen van de natuurlijke flow van energie van vrouwen én van mannen.
In Reclaiming the Goddess tonen de performers (dansers en muzikanten) kwetsbaarheid, kracht, verbinding, sacred sisterhood, zachtheid en meditatie. Dans is immens helend en kan ons op bijzondere wijze aan elkaar verbinden.
Het staat in de planning om naast voorstelling in theaters ook langs vrouwenopvanghuizen te gaan, om heel concreet deze voorstelling in te zetten als middel voor verbinding, plezier, maar ook, waar mogelijk, trauma-verwerking. Hier zal een Goddess Path workshop en dialoog aan worden verbonden.
Op 5 oktober laten we tijdens de eerste Friese Dansdagen in Stadsschouwburg De Harmonie in Leeuwarden een preview zien van Reclaiming the Goddess, voorafgaand aan het Nederlands Danstheater (NDT). Dit is een begin om op verder te bouwen om de hele voorstelling te creëren. Wat mag je van deze dag verwachten? 15 minuten van in beweging worden gezet door dans, expressie, live cello en fado zang met bijzondere thematiek.
Het geld dat we inzamelen wordt ingezet om professionele kostuums en decor (de rode bank) te maken en de benodigde materialen en stoffen aan te schaffen. Andere benodigde items zijn studiohuur en arbeid. We zullen de giften ook gebruiken voor het transport vanuit Amsterdam naar Leeuwarden. Met dit bedrag kunnen we een goed begin maken in de creatie van deze prachtige danstheaterproductie, waarmee we vele harten hopen te raken.

Why a dance theater production Reclaiming the Goddess? We have landed in a moment with a seeming shift in reclaiming the female power, generating the Divine Feminine and restoring the natural flow of energy of women and men.
In Reclaiming the Goddess, the performers (dancers and musicians) show vulnerability, strength, connection, sacred sisterhood, softness and meditation. Dance has immensely healing powers and can connect us in a special way.
It is our plan to tour through theaters as well as women's shelters, to concretely utilize this show as a means of connection, joy, but also -wherever possible- for trauma healing. We will connect a Goddess Path workshop and dialogue to the production.
On October 5th, we'll show a preview at the first Frisian Dance Days in the city theater De Harmonie in Leeuwarden (Friesland, up north in the Netherlands). We are programmed right before the Nederlands Danstheater (NDT). This is a start to continue building the entire production. What can you expect of this day? 15 minutes of being moved by dance, expression, live cello and fado vocals with a special theme.
The money we are raising will be utilized for professional costumes and decor (the red sofa) and the necessary fabrics and materials. Other necessary items are studio rental and labor. We shall also use your gifts for transportation from Amsterdam to Leeuwarden and back. With this amount of money we can make a good start in the creation of this beautiful new dance theater production, with which we hope to touch many hearts.
