Project Truth ... Getting to the Heart of the Issue ...

Project Truth is a youth led campaign, bringing young pro-lifers from all around the UK together to take the pro-life message to the streets of Scotland.

For the past 5 years we've ran our Project Truth Roadshow in the Summer and it's been gaining momentum each year. From 5th - 10th August, we have 25 young people taking part in the Roadshow full-time and we'll have others join us for certain days.

In Scotland, most abortions take place within the first 10 weeks of pregnancy, so we focus on the development of the baby within the first ten weeks and aim to show the humanity of the child from even it's earliest stages. We hope to open up a dialogue with members of the public which will get them thinking about the issue of abortion and the eithics that entails.

Each of the participants are trained on how to deal courteously and effectively with people one the street. They really do make the most wonderful advocates on the value of human life and touch the hearts and minds of many hundreds of people in their conversations during the week.

We also promote the work of crisis pregnancy organisations which can offer practical and emotional support to those who need it and also the most important work of post abortion recovery organisations who offer support and counselling to those who have been negatively affected by an abortion decision.

But, we need your help ...

Running this wonderful initiative comes with a pricetag, so we would be grateful for any financial support you could give us. The week on the road costs over £200 per participant when transport, accommodations, meals and materials are taken in to account. Adding new equipment brings our running costs this year to around £7000.

Why not check out our Wishlist? ...

We have compiled a Project Truth Wishlist which outlines certain costs. Why not sponsor meals for the week for a young person? Or pehaps a hoody and tshirt combo? Or maybe your pro-life group would consider sponsoring one of our 9 seater vans?

Donate today for a pro-life tomorrow ...

We aim to continue to build a culture of life in Scotland and across the UK. Project Truth is a fantastic platform which allows young people to become actively involved in the pro-life movement in a fun and inspiring way. This experience will allow them to grow in confidence about delivering the pro-life message. They are our future teachers, lawyers, journalists, medics and more. Wherever they end up, they'll be sure to confidently carry a pro-life ethos.

Invest in them today to help build a pro-life future.

On behalf of the Project Truth Team, thank you so much to everyone who donated towards our Project Truth Roadshow!

We’re so very grateful to those who offer us financial and / or practical help – it allows us to keep running Project Truth and helps us to grow! You are very much as part of the team as we are.

Project Truth really is a great initiative because it’s such a fantastic platform which allows young people to get actively involved in the pro-life movement. What can be perceived as a fairly hostile environment suddenly changes into an environment which is full of love, joy, life and fun! It also creates a sense of community between the young people - knowing they have a whole network of other committed young people who can support each other as they build a culture of life within their colleges and universities and indeed into different areas of society as they become the next medics, journalists, teachers, lawyers, pharmacists and more!

My favourite part of the whole thing is watching young people be transformed throughout the week on the road. Some might be quite shy at the start of the week and by the end of the week they have grown in so much confidence, and that’s a lovely thing to see and I’m so proud of them for it.

This year’s Roadshow was indeed a great success – I’d say it’s been my best year yet! The team were extremely strong and the conversations that opened up for us were amazing. We will have certainly changed a lot of hearts over the course of the week and even if some didn’t change their mind on the issue, they will have definitely departed with a different view of what pro-life people are like. Hopefully that will leave them more open in the future. As well as impacting the lives of those we met, each and every participants life has been impacted by their experience. They're more confident, they're more experienced and they're eager to do more! Your investment in them will not only have affected this Roadshow, but it will have effect on the future of the pro-life movement in this country and beyond.

Thanks again for your continued support.

In Life,
Louise x
