About The Visionary
Royal Grandison is a creative from New York City. He grew up with an amazing talent that he discovered as a child and wanted to make a living from this talent, which was, to draw. When Royal knew the career he wanted to pursue, from that moment, he was unstoppable! Like most of us, Royal didn’t have the road map to his destination, but he knew that if he took one step forward, he would be one step closer. Royal began his quest by drawing cartoons, tattoo designs, logos and portraits for people he knew and did not know, with the intention of getting exposure. Unfortunately, that did not go well! People began to take advantage of his time, creativity and gift. Royal eventually stopped doing free work because he realized that wasn’t the route he was meant to take. Royal spent a lot time pondering how he can use his creativity and his passion for children to make an impact. Royal knew he wasn’t famous enough to be a voice of influence through television or social media at the time, but he knew he had the potential to become influential!
Royal has a huge heart for youth and he knew that bullying was and currently is a major controversy. Royal knew the power of art and its influence, so he decided to write and illustrate his first children’s book at the age of 19, called Royal Angelo and the Unordinary Kids, based on bullying. Royal used his children’s book to inspire, encourage and help thousands of New York students persevere through bullying! The results that Royal’s book received, drove him to impact even more youth. Royal continues to dream big and walk by faith as his vision for future generations grow!
What is Project Royal Angelo?
Project Royal Angelo is a strategic plan to inspire, encourage, and provoke our youth to be the best that they can be, through a friendly cartoon character name Royal Angelo and his team! This project will produce an animated series of cartoon characters interacting with humans. The main character Royal Angelo has the ability to transport from his cartoon world to the real world. As Royal Angelo journeys through both worlds he helps to solve problems for children around the city! Some problems that will be solved and shown in our episodes are bullying, rejection, abuse, lack of confidence, disrespect, drug influence and more! All investments (donations) will be used solely for the purposes of production to create a plethora of episodes to help kids persevere through their daily struggles! Completed episode can be viewed on YouTube and Vimeo. When you make your investment, you give us the fuel to spread the ultimate message, LOVE!
Who is Royal Angelo?
Royal Angelo is an 8 year old cartoon character created by Royal Grandison on August 3rd, 2014. Royal Angelo was named by his creator, Mr. Grandison. Royal Angelo’s last name was adopted from the Renaissance artist, Michelangelo, leaving out Michel. Royal Angelo inherited some of his characteristics and talents from Mr. Grandison himself! Royal Angelo doesn’t have a specific race, ethnicity or nationality. Mr. Grandison did that with the intention of his cartoon being relevant to all children. Royal Angelo is a foster child that does not have one stable home. He is faced with many different challenges both in and out of school. Royal Angelo is also an artist like Mr. Grandison, but he has super powers! He has a secret weapon named Pencie. Pencie is used to create just about anything Royal Angelo can think, draw and make come to life!
How Did The Royal Angelo Project Come About?
Although, this project is intentional, Royal Angelo wasn’t. When Mr. Grandison created Royal Angelo, his intentions were to create a logo for his freelance art company. There were many attempts for Royal to create a logo, but he wasn’t successful in his eyes, at least that’s what Mr. Grandison thought. Royal began to get something called “creative frustration,” so he started to relax and not over think. A couple of minutes into his next attempt, he was more relaxed. Royal decided to simply draw a cartoon face. He started with two bunny ears as eyes and from there Royal never looked back! On that day, August 3rd, 2014 Royal Angelo was created! Royal Angelo isn’t just a logo, but he is used as a positive symbol for youth. Royal Angelo is also the main character in multiple children’s books, written by Royal Grandison. As time progress, Royal is continuously evolving and meeting the needs for youth through art and sharing his life experiences.
As we know, to successfully fund and execute a vision so grand, it is imperative that an effective team and a well thought out plan is established. As the visionary, Royal Grandison is the first to invest time, money and labor to fuel his dream. Due to Royal being the first investor in his dream, he is proud to say that his investment financially, mentally and emotionally is paying off day by day. Royal is sure that Royal Angelo and his other creations will change the lives of millions of children around the world.

What Makes Royal Angelo Special?
Royal Angelo was created to be a problem solver. He is equipped with knowledge, wit and uses the elements around him to help him get the job done! Royal Angelo has a heart of gold and spreads the message of unconditional love! Although Royal Angelo is very insecure about being a foster child, less-fortunate, and being in special education, he strives to be an encourager, helper and peace maker, regardless of the contradicting life he may live. The journeys and friendships that Royal Angelo will encounter will help cultivate personal development to become not a perfect human being, but a better one for himself and society. As Royal Angelo improves in his personal life, he will model and pave the way for other children, as well.
