Project MUSIC @ Elpida Refugee camp
Hello all, my mission to spread music and light continues... I've just returned from India, where I was working with New Light and Beauty for Freedom, in a mission to provide instruments and music instruction to survivors of human trafficking and their children. The project resonated so much with the survivors and my network alike, and I thank everyone who donated to the mission and made this work possible.
The work continues - By some strange twists of fate, the Elpida project was made known to me by a dear friend, and the universe arranged itself to bring me Greece in May. So, it has become clear to me that I have a gift and a purpose - and that would be to continue providing instruments and music instruction for marginalized people. Therefore, I intend to do exactly as I did in India: raise funds to provide pianos, guitars, percussion instruments, stay for 3 weeks to provide music lessons and volunteer, and to provide additional funds to provide supplies and food to the shelter.
