"Working to End Domestic Violence"

Set up in 1994, Preston Domestic Violence Services (PDVS) provides support for people affected by domestic violence and abuse. In the last four months alone, PDVS has helped more than 140 individuals.  

We are a charity relying on grants and fundraising and it is a constant challenge to  secure funding so that we can maintain our services and meet the ever-increasing demand.  Your donation will help ensure we can continue running for the next two years and recruit a dedicated bidwriter to ensure the service keeps helping.

PDVS employ a small team of highly skilled staff and recruit and train volunteers to provide services including information, drop-in advice and advocacy,  individual counselling and group support for survivors. All services are confidential, free and available to all victims of domestic and intimate violence.    We also offer training and consultancy for agencies including the police, social services and the NHS.  

We mainly cover the Preston area but other services offer support in Chorley and South Ribble.
