Preparing Gabe for School

We want to thank you for giving us a moment of your time as we introduce Gabriel. Gabe is 4 years old and is in awe of the world around him. He loves exploring his environment, learning new things, and playing like any 4 year old. Two years ago Gabe was diagnosed with Autism. Since then we have been working extremely hard to help Gabe learn about and connect with the world around him. A year ago he had a limited vocabulary of 20 words. Now he has around 200 words and can identify his shapes and colors, count up to 80 with little assistance, distinguish between his letters, and many more wonderful things. Gabe is having trouble with his writing and other skills needed for kindergarten. His therapy sessions have included an electronic tablet to help him learn and communicate and this is how he learns best. He is receiving speech and occupational therapies while also participating in special education headstart during the school year. We have seen immense progress from the use of electronic learning devices and we are wanting to provide Gabe with the same educational tools that he uses throughout the school year. This age is critical for his development; we need to be proactive to keep Gabe progressing toward a brighter future.
We want to be able to purchase a leap pad, the leap pad educational books, and a kids kindle edition that comes with benefital educational apps and games. Any additional money over the goal will be used on other educational tools.
