Howdy there!
My name is Bryce Rowe and I like to keep plastic off our streets, out of our oceans, and out of the stomachs of wildlife. I need your help to build plastic recycling machines so that I can keep Missoula’s trash from littering our environment and turn that trash into durable goods! I’m an advocate for plastic recycling, turning plastic into useful items, and picking up trash in our communities. That is driving me to do this project!
Precious Plastic is a global community of hundreds of people working towards a solution to plastic pollution.
Precious Plastic is a movement started in 2013 as a solution to the problem that is plastic waste. The idea was to share techniques, tools and blueprints for finding and reusing plastic in a way that is about more than just collecting discarded plastic.
Precious Plastic is more than just recycling, it is REUSING.
The process is simple. Shred it, melt it, and then mold it!
This will be accomplish through using the precious plastic machines.
The purpose of this GoFundMe campaign is to build the Precious Plastic Machines!
(Below are the Plastic Shredder and the Extrusion Molding Machine)
(Picture below are the Injection Molding Machine and the Compression Oven.)
In order to make this possible, funds are needed to buy materials such as steel stock, motors, gear boxes, electrical supplies and more. I also need funds for the grinding, drilling, and welding required to put the machines together. I'm working with a machine builder, an accomplished engineer, and our shredder is already built!
Together we can help clean up the world's plastic pollution problem!
I hope to
- make recycled plastic building materials
- collaborate with local artists to make pieces of art
- start accepting recycling trash and turn it into durable goods
