Early Sunday morning Mitchell was in a bad snowmobile accident. He did have a friend with him, Colton, who was also hurt but on the road to recovery. Mitch on the other hand, has been unconscious since the crash. They hit a tree and it is unknown how long they were knocked out for, until Colton woke up and called 911. ❤️ Mitchell had to undergo emergency brain surgery and suffers from a broken arm all while having no health insurance. We are asking for all the prayers and any little bit of money you may be willing to donate. Mitchell and I just bought our first house, so going from two incomes to one to support us will be hard on top of medical bills. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you, and keep praying!❤️

Since the last update, Mitch has been progressing remarkably! He has now been in rehab for a week, and continues to get stronger and more alert each day. He is still not talking or walking on his own, but that will come soon. His muscles are gaining strength again, and he is mouthing words but not putting any sound behind them yet. He continues to write more and more each day and he's understanding almost everything we say. Right now he is participating in speech, occupational, and physical therapy. He's slowly being weened off the feeding tube and starting to eat soft foods. Yesterday he got to take his first real shower in almost two months, (sitting down of course), but he LOVED it! Everyday is getting better! Visitors are still limited, as this is a crucial time where he really needs to focus because he only has a limited time in rehab. He is also understanding where he is at, and accepting the new second chance at life that he has been blessed with. I told him that I made this page for him, and he wanted me to tell each and every one of you, Thank You! We appreciate it so very much and can't thank you all enough for the Love and support! Please continue to pray as he is still recovering through this process! Thank you all!!!

Update - The past couple weeks have been very slow with progress. However, the last few days Mitch has made some remarkable steps forward! We recently found out he can somewhat communicate through writing! It is such a blessing to know how he's feeling and what he knows now! This was a huge step, as many people who have been in his place have to relearn to read and write. He is not speaking yet, but we are starting to practice with that. Mitch is listening and responding to commands very well. His next step will be going to rehab and we are still unsure of where that will take place. It is still only family at this time as he is processing a lot right now. We will let everyone know when it's time. Please continue to be patient as it's still a very slow healing process. Thank you all for the Love and support! The power of prayer is amazing!! Thank you all! ❤️

For those of you who may be wondering and looking for an update.. Your prayers are working, but he's not out of the woods yet..
Earlier this week doctors took him off of sedation and coma meds. On Tuesday, Feb 27th, Mitchell opened his eyes. At this point in time it is hard to tell what he truly recognizes, only time will tell. His responses are not as strong as they were before, but that will also take time. He is blessed with his arm already healing on its own, so he no longer needs surgery on it - this is huge, as every time they tried to operate his pressures would spike. On Thursday, Mitch got a trach tube put in his neck, and a direct feeding tube inserted so they were able to get all of that out of his mouth. They will start trying to ween him off of the ventilator over the next few days. Mitch has a very long road to recovery and rehab ahead of him, as they also think he may have stroked through out everything. Thank you all for your patience during his very slow process. Your prayers, good thoughts, and donations are greatly appreciated! Thank you ALL, and please keep praying for him! ❤️

After a long week of ups and downs, Mitch had a second brain surgery today due to some swelling of his brain. Right now it is not known what was causing this swelling. While the doctors are working on it, all we can do is pray that it doesn't keep happening and let him continue to heal. This week he has still been heavily sedated, but when sedation was lowered he would give thumbs up, a peace sign, and move for the doctors on command!!! We are really hoping he can get back to this and continue on the road to recovery. Right now we are still unsure when they will operate on his arm, as that will spike his pressures which they are trying to avoid. Again, thank you ALL for the prayers, support, and donations. We truly appreciate it and can't thank you enough! Please keep praying while he continues to fight this battle! ❤️
