Loving Stokes every STEP of the way

On the morning of Monday Nov.2nd Joseph Stokes, an active athlete and beloved member of Crisp County High School was involved in an automobile accident. Joseph sustained serious injuries that required 2 rods and 8 screws being placed in his back during surgery.
Today Nov.6th, Joseph Stokes was expecting and preparing for Friday Night Lights in the Cougar Den as he and his team battled through the first round of playoffs. Instead, #17 Joseph Stokes is preparing for a different battle in a different setting with a different team. Joseph is joining a well equipped physical therapy team at the Shepherd Center to begin his recovery and rehabilitation after his back surgery.
The goal of the "Loving Stokes Every STEP of the Way Campaign" is to show Joseph and his family that the entire community is committed to love and support them throughout his recovery. We have faith that his determined spirit encouraged by the support from his Cougar community will provide him with many reasons to face the hard, long road ahead with a positive attitude and the strength to persevere.
Joseph's close friends gathered together to brainstorm ways to lift his spirits and shower his family with support. As the group created their plan, they respectfully reached out to his family for their blessing. In one of the messages it was said, "we will be with him every step of the way." It stuck out as the most important piece of their efforts. Please join his friends and fans as we cheer Joseph on every STEP of the way!
As with any extensive medical needs, there will be expenses. In an effort to help Joseph's family pay for their travel expenses, hotel bills, food, and medical expenses, we are asking for donations of any size as an extension of your support and love for their family during this time. If you are unable to give money, prayers and well wishes are certainly appreciated!
