PRAYERS for KALIYAH
At age 5, my nephew suffered a traumatic brain injury after being ejected from a vehicle upon impact and had a craniotomy just like your daughter. We were told he would likely never talk or walk again due to brain damage. Today, other than a scar on his head, one would never know what he went through. He made a COMPLETE recovery. Have hope, stay strong, and remember that recovery doesn't happen over night. It is a rollercoaster and a process. Just remember, 2 steps forward and 1 step back....that's still progress. Sending lots of prayers!
Im praying for your baby non stop. Radys Children's Hospital will transport her by airlift ambulance level 1 trauma. They're the best level 1 trauma pediatric hospital in California. Her attending physician can arrange her to be seen. They will lit her the same way as she's being treated. It might take them 20 min to get her to Radys. They'll take her without insurance and help with your lodging. If you want me to help you I will do all I can. I know you don't know me but please feel free to reach out. I'm praying for you all.
Miryah, while I don't know you, I do know Brandon and he's kind of like the little brother I never had and a very close friend, all rolled into this incredible and loving young man, one that I'm really proud to call friend. Right now, I can't make a donation, but I've been sharing it for you. I will be making a donation on Monday and want to tell you that I'll continue to send good thoughts and love your way.
My name is Jeni Castro. Your friend Jennifer DeRosia asked me to reach out to you. Our son Benny was hit by a car when we were living in Minnesota in 2009. He has a brain injury and went through almost exactly what Kaliya is going through. I encourage you to check out his CaringBridge page https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/benny castro . As you read through the journal entries, you will find how prayer does really work. I also encourage you, if you haven't already, to create a CaringBridge page for Kaliya. There were so many people praying for Benny as I was able to journal each of his needs as they came up. Benny is doing very very well now because God answers prayers. Be encouraged, and pray unceasingly and expectantly. God is good! We will keep you all in our prayers. Love, the Castro's

We are here in Brainerd praying for you and your Angels!Kaliyah looks like she has improved already so much when you look back on your updates... we will pray for a wholesome and speedy recovery for her and we hope you and her big sister stay well to help her through this time of difficulty... I have two boys and my heart just breaks seeing her lay there... I can't imagine not holding my babies or being able to smile and laugh with them like you mentioned... if there is anything, ANYTHING at all you could use or need - please don't hesitate to message me... I know you don't know me,but that won't stop me from wanting to help you! I know it was one year ago today - St. Patrick's Day that I saw on Facebook that there had been a terrible accident and a 6 yr. old baby girl had been rushed to the hospital and was in a coma. I didn't know your family but I was so taken by this and have been following your story ever since. I prayed so hard and had others praying and that power of prayer has certainly helped!! Being in LA, Calif. and so far from home in Brainerd was so devastating!! I have watched her from close to death to what she is today and now living in Mpls. for better treatments. Miryah - you are sure a strong mother and take such wonderful care of your girls. Sister Khianna has been a great help too and had to miss quite a bit of school too. So sad this had to happen. I hope they get a handle on the seizures and be able to prevent the so she doesn't have any brain damage. You mentioned $800,000.00 medical bills and I want to mention if that semi-truck was at fault and hit you - the insurance on the semi should be taking care of all the medical bills. That's just the way it works. Have you checked into this Miryah? You may need an attorney to help you. Prayers to all of you and lots of hugs. xoxxoxoxoxxo
I'm praying that she keeps moving forward too. The poor baby has been through so much!! But she's also come really far from a year ago. Prayers to you too - it's so tough when things aren't going good with our kids.
Prayers sentto you LeLe. I know things are hard but you need to try as hard as you can to move forward. Maybe your meds do have to be changed. I know you can do it. Think of "The Little Engine that Could" - I know I can - I know I can and keep saying that over & over. Love & hugs to you sweetie!!
