Help me get to Malta

Hi there, my name is Jacob. This May I’ll be heading over to Malta to represent Australia at the launch forum for the Commonwealth Youth Gender and Equality Network, convened by the Royal Commonwealth Society.
I’ve been selected as one of 25 international delegates to discuss the importance of gender equality in the Commonwealth, working with world experts and building our capacity to become leaders of a much greater collective, whose members can work together to advocate effectively on gender issues going forwards.
The event is being held in Malta from May 13th - 17th and will see a program that includes lectures, speeches, panel and roundtable discussions. We will work in such as economic empowerment, domestic violence, and LGBTIQ rights. The forum will take place six months ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. It will be a key opportunity to discuss gender equality concerns and priorities ahead of active engagement in the Commonwealth Youth Forum, People’s Forum and Women’s Forum, which all take place in the wings of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
A requirement of delegates is that they pay for their own flights to and from Malta, as well as cover their own visas and travel insurance. Costs at this time are coming in at around $2500.
If possible, I would love for you to pitch in and help get me over to Malta to represent the voice of all Australians. I want to make sure Australia and its young people have a positive representation at this forum, and that we stand out as one of the world leaders in gender equality.
Any reimbursements or amounts over the minimum will be donated to a worthy charity that works toward an equal and just world.
