Local Animal Shelter Donations

Not every animal will be lucky like Roscoe. Will you be the one to donate and save a life?

THE PROBLEM...
Houston unfortunately has a fast growing stray population. As this population grows so does the spread of zoo-tonic diseases. Examples of these diseases include kennel cough, Lyme disease, hook, and round worms. Not only is disease spreading rampant among strays but it is beginning to affect household pets as well as humans. With the help of clinics and shelters we can contribute to healthy streets and the ability to kennel  many  cats and dogs . However, we then become open to other problems. For example, overcrowding  in shelters often facilitates diseases that can lead to the death. In addition, overcrowding leads to strays being turned away or euthanized.

REHABILITATION...
The rehabilitation process of strays is one that varies with each animal. Rehabilitating animals takes a lot of time, effort, money and patience. It  becomes an easy process thanks to the generosity of trained staff, interns, and volunteers . The more animals rescued, the more animals are domesticated into permanent homes. It is a small hand that  provides one means of reducing the stray population. Rehabilitation  saves the lives of dogs like Roscoe.
OUR MISSION
With the help of the community and generous donors we plan to raise money for a few local non-profit shelters. During this time of year,  it is understood that the population begins to get hectic. Non-profit shelters stand to lose the most and  need all the help they can get. Our donations to these shelters will include money received through accessing our link. We will also be accepting gently used pet items such as collars, leashes, towels, bedding, food, and food bowls  at 1810 Stuart Street, Houston, TX 77004 and at designated drop off locations throughout the surrounding area.
