Progressive People Movement, Inc., also known as PPM, is a  501 c3 nonprofit organization founded in 2010 by Orayne Williams . The organization  aims to provide an outlet for at risk youth, such as but not limited to homeless and incarcerated youth, through various services which they do not have easy access to. Through mentoring, college readiness, advocacy, life skills workshops and scholarships the goal of the organization is to create self dependent youth who are equipped with skills and knowledge to overcome their daily obstacles.

Last Fall, Progressive People Movement Inc (PPM) launched its first annual back-to-school scholarship to assist a first semester college student with books and school supplies. The first scholarship was awarded to Krystel Campuzano in the form of a $100 Amazon gift card.

Krystel is currently a Freshman at New York City College of Technology.

We are currently looking to expand the organization and make a difference in the lives of at risk youths. With your support we will be able to provide more scholarships, college mentorships and impact the lives of more youth.

"Christmas Gift Drive"

On December 19 2015 PPM held its first annual Christmas Gift Drive at the Independence Inn transitional living program in Brooklyn. PPM facilitated a presentation and workshop for 15 young men living in the shelter. At the end PPM gave out gift bags filled with essential necessities to each young men. We look forward to doing this again in 2016.

 PPM is working towards:

"2nd Annual Christmas Gift Drive"

The purpose of this event is to allow youth who are living in the shelter system to feel the warm and care of the Christmas Season. Its purpose is to also build a sense of having a family and a support system. No one should be deprived of the cheerful purpose of Christmas!!PPM wants to ensure that our NYC youth does not.

Back-To-School Drive:

PPM plans to host a back-to-school drive providing  books, pens and other school supplies to middle school, high school and college students living in New York City shelter system.

Annual Board Scholarship:

Fall 2014 Progressive People Movement Inc (PPM) launched its first annual Board Scholarship to assist a first semester college student with books and school supplies. PPM hopes to continue the scholarship with the ambition of giving more.
