American Legion Post 16 Mortgage

In the early 2000's our Post home was sold out from under the membership.  Five generous Legionnaires bought back the Post by guaranteeing the loan.  Only one Legionnaire on the original loan is still alive and has retired.  Our goal is to pay off the remaining balance so this generous Legionnaire can retire without this mortgage hampering his effort to retire and travel.  Of the original $125,000 loan, we are down to less than $25,000.  Besides being the home to the American Legion, Sons of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary and the American legion Riders, our Post is home to several other veteran organizations...The Korean War Vets, The Vietnam Vets of America, The Purple Heart Chapter, Rolling Thunder, Voiture 1388 of the 40 & 8and the Daughters of the American Revolution to name a few.
