Multiple Sclerosis is a debilitating and incurable disease. The havoc it wrecks begins in the body, but the suffering it causes permeates deep into the soul.
As someone who has spent the entirety of her remembered life as a first-hand witness to the limitations and suffering imposed by this illness, I can vouch for the immense importance of raising money for research to hopefully someday find a cure.
But, more pressingly, I can also vouch for the equal importance of remembering to celebrate the life you have, even in the face of this illness. When life hands you lemons (and walkers, and wheelchairs), making lemonade will still always be the best solution... especially if that lemonade is accompanied by some booze.
And so, in the spirit of lemonade-making, Pony Up for MS began. Now, in our THIRD year of rompin, stompin, horse-racin good times, we hope to raise even more money and have even more fun.
Every dollar is appreciated, and all funds raised will go directly to supporting the National MS Society, and the great research they are initiating every day.
