I have set up this Go Fund Me account for a fellow female officer in need. She among thousands of women joined police services across Canada to make a difference. To help her community. Now she is in need of that same support from you. The community. Her life has been turned upside down. She has lost everything championing for change. Her home, her career, her life as she knew it.
Coming forward to report harassment, abuse is a career ender. The same fight we champion for victims each and every day unfortunately is one that does not apply to police women. We are ignored, ostracized, targeted and even forced to quit the jobs we love so very much. Please, please if you can help Heather in any way with donations so that she is not out on the street in a month or two, I would be so very grateful. In a time of giving and family, this dedicated police officer needs us.
Our government continues to ignore the plight of police women every single day. Let’s show Heather what Canadians can do for her. Give her back her life that was taken away because she did what was right, not what was easy.
