Hi, I am Laura. I have been in excruciating pain for 2 years. At first it was off and on and I was misdiagnosed several times. Which led to them prescribing pills that I was allergic to and had a horrible reaction to. It did scare me away from doctors for a while which made whatever is wrong with me worse. Now instead of it being off and on it is 24/7. I can't do anything anymore without it feeling like someone is stabbing me over and over. From my left side ribs, concentrating in my hip for 100+ pain down to the back of my leg to the back if my foot. This in combination to my leg being completely dead asleep and not being able to breath while walking.
I have been diagnosed with sciatica nerve damage but without an MRI no one will do anything (because they can't see what is causing it in an x-ray) but prescribe me Ibuprofen or pills that knock me out. I can only take the Ibuprofen because I have two children still in the home and I can't be knocked out all day and night. I can't even play outside with them anymore because it hurts too much to stand very long. I am in so much pain I can't even work and my husband is struggling to pay bills. I feel like a burden to him. Every night I cry because it doesn't let up even to let me sleep and I am fed up with it.
I do have insurance but I still need to pay a deductible so the MRI would be full price. Plus, I need rehabilitation in a pool twice a week which I still haven't started. I just want to get my life back or at least finally see a light at the end of the tunnel because at this point I don't even feel like I am living. I feel like I am dying. I need this MRI so I can get a diagnosis finally. So I am reaching out finally after so many in my support group urged me to make a gofundme. I know that getting an MRI and some therapy will change my life. Really change it. With my financial situation I will never get an MRI. So when you donate I hope you know that with all of my heart I am thanking you. That without your help I can't live like a human should. You are rescuing someone who doesn't have much hope left of living pain free.
