Ryan and Erin's House Fire Fund
$5,671 of $7,500 goal
Last night, they returned home to find their house lost in a fire. According to the fire department, the fire could've began on the back porch, but as of now, it is an "undetermined fire".
They lived there for 6 years together, creating and nurturing a loving and beautiful home. Erin is a painter and has made a name for herself in both her unique, and timeless art and professional career. Ryan, a musician who has built his music career from the ground up, and whose music has brought thousands of us together, also works from home making a substantial living. Together, their home was filled with art of all kinds, love, and healthy, happy fur babies.
While material things are replacable, unfortunately their little family's lives are not.
Ryan and Erin have worked hard to provide a healthy, happy life for both themselves, and their animals. No amount of money can replace the lives lost, the precious family mementos, the priceless art, or the memories made. However, we can still help pick them up and start again.
All donations made will go directly to them, in an effort to help get them in to a new home, and start fresh. Ideally, we would like to raise the money as quickly as possible to not only help get them into a home, but to provide for their needs while Ryan is currently unable to work from home.
No one knows why bad things happen to such good people, but we do know that Ryan and Erin are two of the kindest, most generous people any of us have had the pleasure to meet, and resonate with every single person they meet. For all the love they've shared, they deserve the same.
We will continue to update this page as we know more about what exactly happened. Until then, anything helps. Thoughts, prayers, love, compassion, and kindness are needed in this devastating time. Your generosity is one of a kind and will go so far in helping them. Thank you.
We just discovered that most of the stuff we could salvage from the house has to be thrown away due to smoke damage. You guys are really helping them start completely fresh.
You all are amazing, thank you! <3
That being said, I am raising the goal amount from $5000 to $7500. We have had such a large network of outreach and such a positive turnaround, that we really feel like we can do more.
After salvaging what we could from the house yesterday, we regained a better understanding of what really was lost. Ryan's work computer (built by him) and monitor, as well as expensive music equipment - these things alone are his livelihood and what he uses to make their living, without them he is unable to make money, let alone do what he loves. All of Erin's art supplies - her passion and also a source of income - were destroyed. Their bed, all of their furniture, including handmade furniture from Erin's father and a close friend. Clothing that wasn't burned is now smoke-damaged. Not to mention the priceless, one-of-a-kind artwork from their favorite artists, and Erin's beautiful, unique paintings she did herself. Totaling up the overall value of what was lost comes to well over $5000, so we would like to really try and push just a little further, to see if we can cover the cost.
You all are doing great, and Ryan and Erin are hanging in there the best they can, trying to stay positive and see the light in this dark time. Thank you for all that you do, and let's help them get their lives back!
When one door closes.. 2 others open and wait for your arrival. Sometimes you have to wonder why me or why do bad things happen to people who try to put good back into life, but then you step back and look at the big picture in life. I still can't describe the grief we're facing, but I sure can say that the support has been beyond words. I may have lost all my music gear, all my belongings, and my fur babies.. but I'm still alive and it's not time to give up. Without the support surrounding, I'm not sure I would know what to do. Thank you guys, friends, family, and to all the wonderful people who don't even know us, who has extended their love/support. With a new day brings a brighter future.
I'm Erin's mom and I want to thank you ALL so much! From the largest donation to the smallest your love for Erin and Ryan is being felt in their time of need. This is such a touching outpouring of support from their friends and the community. May you all be blessed!
I am SO sorry for your loss...you guys are the sweetest, kindest, generous people I've met and I'm so blessed to know you. I want you to know that I'm here for you no matter what and if you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask! Love you guys and good luck with everything! ♥ ♥ ♥
