Please Support Patty's Fight With Lymphoma

Those of you who know Patty, our nurse at Stanislaw Facial Plastic Surgery Center, know how caring and special she is to us and to our patient base. What you probably don’t know, is she was fighting breast cancer last fall-very few people knew. Ever the consummate professional, she only took a short leave of absence for surgeries before returning to work. You also probably wouldn’t have known that for 30 straight days, every morning, she went for radiation therapy before coming to the office to tend to her patients here. She fought hard and was incredibly brave throughout her treatment. We truly believe her positive approach was key to such a remarkable recovery.
Unfortunately, Patty received more bad news: within 6-months of her breast cancer she was diagnosed with Primary Mediastinal (Thymic) Large B-cell Lymphoma, a very aggressive cancer that requires aggressive treatment. She’s been told by the oncologist that her treatment will require 96 straight hours of in-patient IV chemotherapy called R-EPOCH every 3-weeks over an 18-week period. Despite the overwhelming news, Patty remains positive and optimistic and we believe she will beat this too!
Needless to say, Patty will not likely be able to work while undergoing such an aggressive chemo regimen. With Patty still trying to recover from last year’s medical bills and more on the horizon, we decided to launch a fundraiser campaign. Our goal is to ensure her family’s day to day needs are met and that they don’t have to worry about paying the basic bills, putting food on the table and the medical bills. Her energy should be focused solely on getting better.
