Dear people from testing community (and beyond),
My name is Lalit and I’m Chief Editor/Co-founder of Tea-time with Testers magazine. I am residing in Germany.
I am running this fundraising campaign on behalf of my colleague and a old friend Anna Royzman.
Unfortunately, Anna is currently stuck with medical emergency in Turkey while travelling and is in dire need of help. She had to undergo an emergency surgery and post surgery treatment which unfortunately could not be supported by insurance she had (or apparently the lack of right insurance needed in Turkey). That has pushed Anna into very hard and uncertain financial situation with merely $500 USD left in her bank account, for she had to support herself with all her savings for the surgery.
She has been given a compulsory medical rest for two months during which she can not fly or leave the country and most likely the second round of treatment is on the cards, for which she lacks necessary support. She is currently being supported by local social workers but apparently that help is not enough considering cost of next round of treatment she is likely to undergo.
For years, I have known Anna as a tester, contributor to testing community and a leader who has been working hard to bring the change needed in testing field. I appreciate her efforts through all the contribution she has made to the community so far most of which has been pro-bono and for taking the craft forward. Over the years, I have known testers around the globe who have been selflessly contributing to the craft and helping other testers to grow and I consider Anna to be one of those.
That said, I would like to make an appeal to please come forward and help Anna by whatever amount/form of donations you can make for her to support the situation she is into. The funds raised here will be used to support her medical treatment in Turkey and to support her living there during her treatment period. Also for her travel and related expenses as her own funds have been all used up by now.
The funds donated here will be transferred to my personal bank account in Germany (since GoFundMe does not allow cross country withdrawals as such) and then I will transfer all that fund to Anna's bank account via wire transfer.
I have special respect and fondness for our Testing Community which has supported worthy testers in need for support, from time to time and I would say this in one of such situation.
