Hello to all that have stopped by to look at this profile.
My name is mark and I've been a full time carer for victoria for the last 4 years, she has been diagnosed with a very rare medical condition called jackhammer oesophagus that affect a few in this country.
I am raising funds for an operation called a hellers myotomy, the reason being is that she cannot eat any solid food at present and is tube fed via a peg into her stomach.
By having this operation her quality of life will improve ten fold.
It will involve the cutting of the muscles in the oesophagus to allow food to freely pass from mouth to stomach.(which is an impossible task at present)jackhammer oesophagus,is a condition that prevents a sufferer from eating solid food without causing spazms, in the chest that are on par with a heart attack.she has also had so much stomach acid travel from her stomach to her oesophagus that its caused scarring from the acid and makes it impossible to enjoy food at all.!!
This girl is my rock and my world, and it kills me to see her like this on a daily basis.
Even if we don't raise all the funds needed, whatever we do raise will go towards adaptations to make her life easier.
Thanks for stopping by to look.
Mark.

Hi all. Right, sadly this isn't a happy or positive update. Victoria has been admitted back into hospital but this time she's in the worse way I've ever seen her. Her bloods have showed that she's got hardly and potassium, magnesium or white blood cells. She is on a hell of a lot of iv medication and pain relief as well as huge amounts of anti sickness meds. This time she really is struggling and we are so so lucky to be surrounded by such beautiful amazing friends. We don't know how long Vic will be in the hospital but she mostly out of it on morphine so she's as chilled as she can be given the circumstances. I just really hate to see my beautiful, happy wife like this. But watch this space! That's all I'm saying . But thank you so so much to all of you that are supporting vicki. All I want is my wife to be happy and healthy. It breaks my heart to see her like this.
