Update on the family:

Waylon (the 8 year old boy) is still at Scottish Rite in Atlanta going through rehabilitation. We will hopefully be released this Wednesday from the hospital BUT will still be staying in Atlanta for more rehab, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy for 7 hours per day, 5 days per week. We will not know how long he will need all of that until he starts and they do assessments on him. Please send prayers that he will not need much!

Mac (the baby) is still at a hospital in Ohio in the burn unit. He had two surgeries this week and is doing well. He ate and drank for the first time Saturday evening! Praise God! They are going to check his burn dressings and have a meeting with his doctors on Wednesday to talk about when he will be released to come back to Georgia. Say a prayer that it is soon!

Taylor (the kids mom) is feeling much better (pain wise). The family as a whole are all ready to be together again. Pray that everything comes together soon and that this family can try their best to get back to normal.

Hi, everyone! I first want to say thank you to every person who has kept our family in your thoughts and prayers, donated, and helped out with anything we have needed! I speak for the whole family when I say we appreciate it more than you will ever know!! I need to update you all on a few things before I get to the status of the family. As the family's daughter in law (Hannah Wilkie) I have been put in charge of being responsible for withdrawing the funds that will go to the family. The funds will be transferred into the bank account that has been opened for the family. It is The Wilkie Family Fund at any United Community Bank branch (is where we will be taking donations). As soon as the Go Fund Me funds are transferred into the bank account, they can use them to start rebuilding their house. ***Update on the family***
Things are looking up! Waylon (the 8 year old) has been moved to Scottish Rite for physical, occupational, and speech therapy. He is doing well with all of it. We do not know when he will be released from the hospital to go home yet. Mac (the baby) was moved to a pediatric burn unit in Ohio and has been improving more and more since he got there! Taylor (the kid's mother) is doing better since her surgery but misses her children that have been released since the fire. I have one of my nieces staying with us until the house is rebuilt. Please keep praying for our family and again, thank you to everyone who has been there for us!!! >Also, we have two benefits coming up to help this family get the house rebuilt! There will be a motorcycle ride and benefit on April 14th at 10:00am. There will be auctions of all kinds of great stuff! On May 19th, we will be having a benefit with great music, BBQ, and family fun! Please message me for more details!

I wanted to give everyone an update on the family. Waylon (the 8 year old) has been taken off ECMO but is still on a ventilator, sedation meds, and paralytics. He spiked a high fever yesterday which the nurses/doctors are trying to keep under control and was put back on 100% oxygen. Mac (18 month old) had skin grafts Monday and is doing as well as can be expected. He is also still on a ventilator. Taylor (the children's mother) will be having skin grafts done tonight or in the morning.

***PLEASE ADVISE***
The home owners have pulled funds from this Go Fund Me Account to transfer into a trust fund so that it can be accessible for them to start rebuilding their home. If Go Fund Me is easiest for you, please keep donating here as it will still be taking donations. ALSO, the trust fund is set up at United Community Bank and anyone can go into ANY United Community Bank Branch and ask to donate to The Wilkie Family Fund. Please keep the prayers coming for this family who have been through more than anyone should have to in one lifetime and donate if you can!
