Please Help Replace a Stolen Wheelchair Van
Donation protected
On Thursday, February 21 Suzanne Bettonville had lunch with friends and then went geocaching in Tower Grove Park. After collecting all the caches, she came back to the spot where she parked her van. But there was one problem: there was no van.
Without a key, on a reasonably busy road, someone drove her van up on the curb into the muddy park, exited the park back onto the road, and made off with it. A single mom to four boys, this is Suzanne's only vehicle for transport. However, this van isn't just any van—this van is equipped to be wheelchair accessible.
Her second oldest son, Ewan Dallape, 18, has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. A senior at Edwardsville High School, he depends on his mom to take him to his medical appointments and to various places he needs to go. Because of this, Suzanne cannot replace her car with just any car—she needs her vehicle to transport Ewan in his wheelchair.
Any help you can provide will help Suzanne purchase a vehicle that will help meet her family's needs. Thank you!
