Please help our Alyssa Neat
She is a bubbly, beautiful, smart, funny, crazy haired, blue eyed, pet loving, tough girly who just
turned 3 in January. Her scrunch nose and contagious smile can literally light up any room. Her
please and thank you’s can melt anyone’s heart and her tough and brave attitude would bring
anyone to their knees.
She is the only child to her parents Chelsie and Garrett. The only grandchild on her mom’s side
and the only grandbaby on her dad’s side, so as you can imagine, this little girl is the biggest
blessing to both these two families and to whomever is lucky enough to have met her.
She is your typical 3 year old who loves to sing and dance. Play with dolls and have tea parties.
On March 30
, 2017, while getting ready to spend a day of swimming at the beach an abnormal
lump was found on her stomach. She was then rushed to the ER where they told us she was very
anemic and to follow up the next day with her pediatricians.
March 31, Alyssa was sent to Mary Bridge in Tacoma and was diagnosed with cancer. April 2nd
they did a biopsy and took stem cells to harvest for her later. By April 4th we knew we were
going to be battling against Neuroblastoma cancer. Alyssa was transported to Seattle children's
on April 7th and went into surgery for her port on the 8
and started her 1st round of chemo on
Her Mother who worked as a waitress has since stopped working to be by Alyssa’s side, every
second. Chelsie hasn’t been home herself or even left the hospital in almost a month. Her father
who was supposed to start College on April 3
has since had to withdraw to be there to help and
support Alyssa thru this tough journey. All 3 of their lives have forever been changed; financially
emotionally, and physically. Alyssa has a yearlong treatment plan of chemo, surgery to remove
the tumor, and stem cell replacement. Her treatments and surgery will be held at Seattle
children’s. Which is two hours away from their home and family. As you can imagine the
medical bills, hotel, gas to drive there, and any normal bills they may have had to begin with let
alone food for the parents. This can all add up pretty fast and be quite expensive when they
aren’t working so they can be there for Alyssa.
Alyssa comes from a background of strong men and women that have fought and won many
medical battles. We are asking for any donation to help lessen the burden of stress and financial
worry on the parents of Alyssa as WE battle and kick cancers butt together.
We cannot thank you enough for taking the time to read Alyssa’s story. We appreciate all the
support, prayers, and donations for our Super Alyssa .
