I am Gabby's father. I am a single dad. Gabby also has her mother who has been close by her bedside since it all started. Gabby was admitted to the ER with a fever and a sore throat 3 nights ago. She rapidly deteriorated over the course of 24 hours and was then transferred to Joe DiMaggio hospital in full septic shock. While they were trying to do a spinal tap to rule out out meningitis, she went into respiratory arrest, followed by cardiac arrest. My little princess was worked on for 2 minutes, given 2 amps of EPI and by the grace of her heavenly creator, she was resuscitated with a decent blood pressure and pulse. She was placed in the pediatric ICU and this is where she remains  They had to connect her to a heart/lung machine to give her beautiful little body a chance to recover  She is also intubated for back up purposes. She will be like this for about 3 days and after they remove her from the machine, she will be in the ICU for another 2-3 weeks.  She has a very long road to recovery and we'll be in the ICU for quite some time. Gabby is one of the happiest girls I have ever seen. She inspires me and all those around her to smile and love one another. She has a huge heart of gold. Thank you for your goodness and generosity. As a giver myself, I know that God repays those who help out in the time of need 10-fold.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart and Gabby's heart.  We love you all.
