Help DeAnna Fight Triple Negative Breast Cancer!

I am a friend of DeAnna  and Gigi asking you for help. DeAnna  Raymond, a 32-year old mother and daughter of Gigi Gerhardt, was diagnosed with Stage 4 triple negative breast cancer for a second time in 2 ½ years. She was originally stage 2b back in March of 2015 had a double mastectomy 16 rounds of chemo and 33 rounds of radiation! Then in January of this past year she found out her cancer had metastasized to her lungs and bones they put her on chemo immediately actually the day before she got married she received her first dose! The chemo worked great and for several months she was ok but it started to deplete her blood counts and platelets so she tried a clinical trail of immunotherapy which they thought  was working but on November 1st she had a seizure and found out she had 4 brain tumors and the pet scan showed a lot of progression in her lungs, liver, and several spots all over! This family has played a prominent role in the community by opening Gigi’s Salon & Day Spa, located in the heart of downtown Madison, servicing the community for over 14+ years. Understandably, DeAnna has had a hard time juggling her diagnosis, treatment, caring for her 4 year old son, and working hard in the salon to provide for their family. With this page and your generous donations, I hope to raise funds that will allow DeAnna  to receive Chemo treatments, help with travel expenses to and from those treatments, assist with medications and any additional medical expenses, and anything else that may be helpful during this time. Ultimately, the family is hoping to send DeAnna to either NAtional intstitute of Health in Maryland This National Cancer Institute actively participates in new drug development and strongly focuses on aggressive treatments for all major cancers. Or MD Anderson which currently has several clinical trials for triple negative breast cancer which is a very aggressive and rare form of breast cancer!The family hopes that enrolling DeAnna in this program would open new avenues for her treatment ultimately and hoping to save her life. Triple Negative patients are only given 12 to 15 months from stage 4 diagnosis DeAnna is at her year mark now!!  Please join me in supporting this family.
