PLEASE HELP CHUCK MCNALLY
Chuck has had cancer for five years. He's has it in his esophagus, bones, pancreas and it has spread into his lymph nodes. He is one tough guy!
Chuck is unable to work and has to take rests often . He needs help with his basic needs like gas for his car so he could get to his doctors appointments in Boston independently. His supplemental Drink "Boost" which is the only thing he could keep down is quite expensive. He needs about 10 a day to keep his weight up and have energy. He can't eat regular food.
He recently had to get his brakes fixed to be safe on the road and pass inspection. It wiped out what little savings he had. And now he's broke.
He needs money to just live a simple life: he needs to buy his Boost, gas for traveling to the doctors, sundries and the basic things in life we take for granted.
He has good days and bad but continues to produce artwork daily and is hopeful to just be happy with what time he has-living in the present with his friends, his artwork and family.
Please find it in your heart to donate whatever you can and help Chuck get through his days without having to stress about money.
I hope you can all make it out tonight, there's some beautiful artwork being auctioned off from painter extrodinaire Adam O'Day and Chuck's striking prints.
Chuck is getting geared up for his cataract operation so he won't have double vision anymore. I wonder if that will change his style of drawing? :)
Please donate what you can here on this campaign and share with your friends!
Thanks so much for all the love and support!! Chuck says he's the luckiest man in the world.
Love and Hugs,
Celeste and Chuck
Chuck has made another incredible video about his daily existence with cancer and how it impacts his life.
His unique imagery depicts his inner stress that he experiences daily.
He makes these to get through to the other side...of his anxiety and stress. I go to as many appointments that I can especially the scan. He HATES getting in there, claustrophobic, loud, cold, etc...they are just awful.
His new found Love of video fascinates Chuck because they're so many cool effects and he loves figuring out all the new techniques!
If you'd like to take a look at some of his work it's on Instagram & Facebook under "Chuck McNally". He also makes the soundtracks to all the videos. He discovered his old tapes from the archives of his band Pelvic Thrust. He has many fond memories of playing with his best buds and would love more than anything to jam again.! That would be a dream come true!
The man is constantly creating! It keeps him going....
Thanks for your support and please share the link too...
He made this incredibly moving video about what his life is like with Cancer.
Since I was reunited with Chuck I've been so inspired by him. No matter how crummy he feels and how long were waiting for his infusions and appointments he's constantly creating these beautiful images of the other patients waiting or drawing on his ipad to make one of his video. He never complains, he accepts his treatment without wincing and is always so entertaining for the doctors as I'm sure you all could imagine!
The gofundme campaign is still open if you care to make a donation of whatever you can give. It will help Chuck immensely with paying for his supplemental drink "Boost", insurance for his car, gas to get to Boston for his appointments and art supplies to keep this talented, prolific, unique artist and kind hearted man going!
thanks to everybody who's donated I know how difficult some of you are having it yourselves in these uncertain times. I really appreciate your donations, I hate being unable to support myself, when I needed money in the past, I could always make a phone call and pick up some work doing construction. but the cancer in my bones made them susceptible to breaks , which I have in my back and hip and I'm unable to to do any physical labor, and unfortunately the only other skill I figured out how to do was to make art work but I can't live on what that, Because I worked as an artist and then piece meal under the table doing construction , I didn't pay into social security and even though i'm eligible for disability payments, because I didn't pay in , I don't receive a penny from the government. which is fair.. I was the one who wanted to be an artist.. against my mom's advice god bless her..
