Play for Puerto Rico

$46,810 of $50,000 goal

Raised by 119 people in 4 months
My name is Sito Sanchez, president of Peachstate Hobby Distribution, LLC. I was born and raised in San Juan , Puerto Rico.  As you know, Puerto Rico was totally devastated by Hurricane Maria. Even though I reside in Florida, my heart will always belong in Puerto Rico, where I still have family and friends.  As an American and Puerto Rican, I have a civic duty to stand and do whatever I can so that the people of Puerto Rico begin to get back on their feet and face the long journey of reconstructing our homeland. The entire island is experiencing a humanitarian crisis right now.  They have no power, fuel, food or water and relief is yet to reach them.

I am asking the gaming community to join our efforts in helping our fellow US citizens who are our brothers and sisters.  Give if you can, anything you can.  If you can’t, please keep the people from Puerto Rico close to your hearts.  Whether you enjoy playing table top games, run a gaming/comic/hobby shop, are a publisher, or a manufacturer, every little bit counts.  I thank you from the bottom of my heart, and will forever be grateful for your actions!

The funds raised are going to “UnitedforPuertoRico” ( www.unidosporpuertorico.com)and “ConPRmetidos”( www.conPRmetidos.org).

Due to the chaotic situation, things may change from now until the end of October (when the collection of donations ends).  All of the money will go to assist the most immediate needs for the country.  Regardless of the urgent need, be it medical supplies, fuel or building materials, the money will reach the country through properly vetted and trusted organizations.  All donation records and complete accounting will be posted on our PHD website so that total transparency will be maintained.

Sincerely,
Sito Sanchez

To all my friends, a quick update! We are sooooo close to our goal of $ 50,000.00 To everyone that has donated, to this or any other charity/fund, THANK YOU! There are still over one million people without water and about 80% percent of the country does not have power....Today is Day 40 after the Hurricane devastated Puerto Rico. If you have some spare change, lunch money, whatever you can give, please donate. The collection of funds will end this Friday, as we get ready to make sure that your funds will go to the families that are most in need. I am assembling a team in Puerto Rico to make sure that we go, ourselves, to make deliveries of water, food, and essentials to those that need it the most! Thank You for your consideration. I can't thank you enough!
